Great and fast laptop – pity there’s no touchscreen!
This is a very light and very quiet laptop. I don’t believe the 24 hr battery life claim, but it’s better than the average laptop, as I am getting about 8 hrs active use per charge. Screen quality is very clear and bright; pity it’s not a touchscreen; it’s just crying out for one! Speed (i7 EVO) and storage (512 Mb SSD) are excellent. Sound is good for a laptop. Build quality and keyboard are fine. The touchpad is excellent, and I like its numeric pad option. Don’t know about longevity, obviously. Available i/o port options are fine.

Asus Vivabook – one month on…
Bought on the back of Which? magazine recommendation. Very pleased with the product. Need to use the internet to find out how to use some of the keyboard’s quirks, e.g. how to turn back on the trackpad as it got turned off my mistake – needed another laptop access the internet. Asus do have good online tutorials when these issues arise.

Absolutely love this laptop which has replaced my 2011 MacBook Air which Apple no longer update the IOS to run some Microsoft 365 products so I was forced to change and this is brilliant and half the price of the Macbook Air with similar spec

24 hour battery life?NOT EVEN 2 HOURS!ASUS response:Kindly be advised that the said 24 hours battery life is just for marketing purposes. All claims are based on theoretical performance, hence it was possible for ASUS technicians to witness 24 hours battery life in perfect conditions. It is highly unlikely to achieve this in real life.The company is basing product facts based on theory. In theory it could last forever if never turned on or regularly replaced like Trigger’s broom and handles. “Theoretically…” Absolutely ridiculous.AVOID – if you’re buying for the battery life like I was.So disappointed.

Had to return this as it crashed multiple times per day doing simple tasks like just word processing! Horrible. We bought it from Amazon Warehouse. It was marked “Used Like New: box is a little damaged.” No, the computer was damaged. Lesson learned. Returned after wasting a lot of time trying to get it to work.
